What We Do

NFCC Member Strategy

NFCC has a unique role in representing Fire and Rescue Services at a national level and, as the professional voice of the fire and rescue service, we aim for maximum impact. We strive to harness knowledge and expertise from across the country, bringing it together for the benefit of all.

Our ambitions are high – to continuously improve, and to firmly establish NFCC and the UK Fire and Rescue Services as among the best in the world.

The NFCC Member Strategy outlines our purpose, our ambition, our mission, and our ethical principles, as well as some of the key drivers for Fire and Rescue Service change. It sets out our strategic objectives, and what we will do to achieve our mission of supporting Fire and Rescue Services to deliver safer communities: we will continually improve; we will collaborate and partner; and we will represent and support.

The NFCC Member Strategy is a tool for Fire and Rescue Services to use when considering their own local strategies and plans, helping to align local priorities and work to the wider national context, and ensuring a high standard of services and continuous improvement.
